MS Dhoni announces retirement from International Cricket (IC)

MS Dhoni, one of the most successful and brilliant captain of the Indian Cricket team announces his retirement. Dhoni made a confirmation to this news through an Instagram video where he informs people about retirement. Let’s read deeper about this ongoing news in between the pandemic of COVID.

MS Dhoni, the former captain of India cricket team today at around 8:00 P.M. announces his retirement from cricket. Sources claim this information after watching a video of MS Dhoni, in which he talks about retirement. He says that thanks, thanks a lot for all your support and love, the platform I reached is all because of my fans. In addition, he says that from 19:29 hrs consider me as a retired person from the Indian cricket team.

Dhoni today retires as Indian cricket’s most successful captain in limited over internationals. Ms. Dhoni is having around 3 trophies- 2007 T20 World Cup, 50-over World Cup in 2011, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. These are the trophies that he won by his efforts and skills only. He last played the international during the semi-final of 2019 ICC but India lost that time.

Having announced the retirement from test cricket in 2014, but Dhoni carried playing ODI’s and T20’s. He was the one to lead India to semi-finals of the 2015 World Cup and 2016 World T20. Dhoni is the fifth person in the list of all-time-run-scores and is having around 10,733 runs from 350 matches. MS Dhoni is the one behind Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kholi, Sourav Ganguli, and Rahul Dravid. Therefore, Dhoni’s future was a hot topic from the day he starts playing cricket for India. But ever since the defeat of India to New Zealand, he did not play any cricket. However, he is retiring but he is going to be there in IPL where he will captain Chennai Super Kings in the 13th tournament.
