Yahoo update: All the groups to become defunct in December 2020


Yahoo Groups is a two-decades-old platform and one of the earliest group interaction platforms is now set to get defunct in the month of December 2020. From the recent updates, it has been found that Yahoo is going to shut down all its social media service Yahoo Groups from 15 onwards. Yahoo Groups team in an email to its users wrote down that the service steady decline in usage over the last several years. Over the same period, we’ve witnessed unprecedented levels of engagement. By the end, there will be some difficult decisions regarding products that no longer fit our long-term strategy. Therefore, the option to create new groups on it has already been disabled on October 12th, 2020. However, the other services of the group related came to an end on October 15th, 2020. But the total shut down will take place in December.
