Today, that is 05th Augusts, 2019 the Indian President, Shri Ram Nath Kovind announced something. Mr. Ram Nath Kovind announces “J&K from today onwards will follow the Indian Constitution“.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Mr. Ram Nath Kovind (President of India), ordered that from now onwards the Indian Constitution will be applied in J&K also.
- Government of India has made four changes in Article 367. The government adds four new clauses in article 367.
- On the recommendation of Parliament, President ordered to remove Article 370.
The President in concurrence with Jammu and Kashmir announced the “Promulgated Constitution Orders”. On Monday, that is today Shri Ram Nath Kovind says that the provisions of Indian constitutions are applicable in J&K also. The President is there to issue the constitution orders. These orders came into force at once only.
“All the provisions written in the Constitution” shall be applied to J&K also orders the government. The government had added something in Article 367. Government has added 4 clauses that make four changes in our Indian Constitution.
The order said references to the person as the Sadar-i-Riyasat of J&K is acting on the advice of counsel ministers. Therefore, it will pass to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The expression in clause 2 is that the state shall read the Legislative Assembly.
In Article 370, it is all written about Jammu and Kashmir, but now the government has ordered to remove it. On 5th August 2019, specials orders are pass by the President to remove this Article from the constitution.
Moving on to the resolution, the Home Minister Amit Shah also said something. Mr. Amit Shah said that “The government should not delay a second to remove Article 370”. It means that removing Article 370 from the Constitution has been ordered. The resolution said Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, on the recommendation of Parliament, is pleased to declare about the constitution. According to updates, Parliament please Mr. Ram Nath Kovind to remove Article 370. They said that all the clauses of Article 370 would cease to be operative except clause 1.
Therefore, this all ordered by the President on 5th of August 2019, after the recommendation of Parliament.
Amit Shah also moved the Bill that was converting the state into U.T. with a legislature. Therefore, he hived off Ladakh region into another U.T. without any Legislature.
5th August 2019 is a day that will be remembered in the history as because from today J&K state will also follow the Indian Constitution. Therefore, from today onwards the Constitution of India grants special status. All thanks to the President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind and our Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi. They made special efforts to pass these orders.
