India to ban 59 Chinese apps including Tiktok, Helo and many others

As we all know that, in between the pandemic outbreak of Coronavirus, India, and China are facing so many tensions as the relations between both the countries are worsening day by day. Due to these critical tensions and situations between India and Chines, the government of India has decided something.

From the updates, it has been found that the government of India has decided to ban more than 50+ Chinese apps in India. Some of the Chinese mobile applications that are going to be banned are Helo, Tiktok, Like, WeChat, and many more. The government has decided to band them because these are the applications that have posed a threat to the country’s sovereignty and security. Therefore, these were the official updates by the government on Monday night. Furthermore, you should know that not only the social media platforms but the apps like UC Browser, Shien, and Club Factory, etc. are also going to be blocked just because of the rising tensions between India and China.

The government of India has claimed that these are the applications that are engaged in activities Defense of India, Security of State and Public Order as well as the Prejudicial Sovereignty and Integrity of India. Moreover, they have told the people of the nation that the ban has been imposed under Section 69A that is the Information Technology Act Rules of 2009. The government also cited complaints about the data transfer of the people abroad without authorization. Therefore, this sudden move by the Indian government can easily blow the Digital ambitions as well as valuations of the Chinese companies. Sources also said that many more other countries can also take action against these apps.

Top officials have said that these apps are there for so long but now they will be no more available for Indian people as there are so many security and privacy issues. Ministry of Electronics and IT have also received so many complaints about this that the data of people has been misused through these apps in an unauthorized manner out of India. So, just stand with the government and help them to finish all these high increasing tensions between India and China.
