After battling from bladder cancer veteran actor Vinod Khanna breathed his last on Thursday morning, the funeral has been taken place today at 4:30 pm at Mumbai’s Bangana crematorium. His family friends, Bollywood co-stars and political fraternity have reached to pay their last tribute. In April first week, his condition was considerably deteriorated due to dehydration. he remains admitted in HN Reliance hospital for a month doctors claimed that he had become stable after putting him on a drip.
A picture leaked from hospital left everyone in shocked at a weak looking actor. The hospital released their statement that actor breath his last at 11:20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma, who was admitted to HN Reliance foundation hospital.
“Family and Doctors are expecting a recovery but situation has succumbed today.
His early life
Born in Peshawar at present in Pakistan on 6 October 1946, who studied commerce at Mumbai’s Sydenham College before moving to acting and started his Bollywood in the 1960s in the role of a villain but after he starts getting a lead role, he becomes the fantasy of every woman back then. Before marrying Kavita, he later married Gitanjali but they got separated later and has two sons Rahul Khanna and Akshay Khanna from Geetanjali and two daughters Sakshi Khanna and Shraddha Khanna from Kavita.
His film debut
He debuts in 1968 Mann ki Baat and later he gives many hit film like Jurm, Dyavaan, Mere Apne, Amar Akbar Antony, Qurbani, Imtihaan, Lahu ke do Rang were some hit.
Vinod Khanna received Filmfare award in the best-supporting-actor category for Haath Ki Safai, and Lifetime Achievement award in 1999 and again in 2007 he received Zee cinema lifetime achievement award.After acting in more than 146 movies in 1982 he takes a break from his Bollywood career to join his guru Osho Rajneesh. Although after a 5-year break from work, he started signing film giving two super hit Insaaf and Satyamev Jayate.
He was also an active politician and Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur, Punjab.
But even after his busy schedule from politics, Vinod Khanna did not give up his Bollywood career and worked in some superhit movies like Dabangg, Dabangg 2.His last was with Shah rukh Khan’s Dilwale in 2015.
In late 2016 and 2017, news about his disordered health started coming in, and this kept away from the public and was accompanied by his wife and family in his last days.
