Yuvraj Singh of Indian Team Announces Retirement from Cricket

The hero of the 2011 world cup announces that he is soon going to retire from all forms of cricket. Yuvraj Singh said that he is going to draw curtains on 19 years of his career and cricket journey. According to updates, the 37-year-old cricketer, Yuvraj Singh made this announcement after an emotional video of him.

Yuvraj Singh was the Man of Series, after the victorious World Cup of 2011. Yuvraj is a left-handed batsman from Punjab.

During a press conference in Mumbai, on 10th July 2019, Yuvraj Singh made this announcement. He said I am very much lucky to play in the Indian team.

Now, Yuvraj Singh is looking to pursue a freelance career in ICC. He is approved by the T20 leagues of foreign and is also been in the talk with BCCI about the same thing.

While making an international debut in 2000, Yuvraj played 40 test matches, 304 ODI’s and around 58 T20 Internationals. Therefore, he is a player who scored 11,778 runs across all the formats. He picked a total of 148 international wickets. Yuvraj Singh also had a dream run out in 2011 World Cup, he amassed around 362 runs including 1 century and 4 fifties. He picks 15 wickets also and got the reward as Man of the match so many times. According to the Indian cricket forum, Yuvraj Singh was the first all-rounder to score 300+ runs in just 15 wickets.

In 2012, Yuvraj Singh was forced away from cricket due to his situations. Yuvraj Singh was suffering from Lung cancer. But later, he came back to the Indian team in the second T20 with New Zealand. After this, he got the Arjuna Award. After 2 years, he got Padma Shri award for his excellence.

Therefore, in 2019, Indian Premier League, Yuvraj Singh played only 4 matches and scored 98 runs with one-half century. This is all about the journey of Yuvraj Singh in the Indian team.

But now, he has his retirement from all the cricket form. In the conference, he said that I gained a lot of experience and friends. He added by saying I started my career under Sourav Ganguly’s guidance. Now, the day has come when I’m going to retire.
