Syed Ali Shah Geelani quits down from “All Party Hurriyat Conference”

Recently, from the information, it has been noticed that the chairman of the “All Party Hurriyat Conference” decided on Monday to quit the conglomerate without divulging the future course of action. Therefore, this was a sudden decision taken by Syed Ali Shah Geelani, he said that “I’m very much sure and have decided to stay away from the Hurriyat as per the current situation (in amalgamate).” Hence Mr. Geelani told the people about this through a voice note

Reports have informed the people that “Mr. Geelani said that all the constituents of his faction of Hurriyat have already been informed about this decision of his through a detailed letter.” Mr. Geelani who was under house arrest since 2013 is around 90 years in age and he was the person who was earlier associated with Jammat-e-Islami but left it to loft because of his organization. Therefore, the political organization of his is referred to as “Tehreek-e-Hurriyat”, he has decided to quit it out as well. Moreover, he has also split down from Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s faction of the Hurriyat as the approaches started to resolve the Kashmir problem.

You should know the Mr. Geelani is one of the famous and well-reputed people as he is known for his hard-line ideology and advocated accession of Jammu and Kashmir with the country Pakistan. One of the most important things that people should know about is that he has yet not clarified whether he has resigned from Tehreek-e-Hurriyat or not, but has decided to stay away. The people around him are very early waiting for the announcement of his whether he has resigned or not. One of the family members of his told that the health of Mr. Geelani has deteriorated significantly and no one from outside is allowed to see him due to so many reasons.

Sources have said that his resignation is due to the internal feud within the Hurriyat and it is very likely to pave the way for new Hurriyat leadership that has faced a clampdown in the run-up for the abrogation of J&K special status. Therefore, the national general secretary of BJP has also tweeted about Mr. Geelani’s resignation.
