Former President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee passes away at age of 84. On Monday, the conditions of Pranab Mukherjee were declining because he was suffering from COVID as well as from Lung infection. Furthermore, during noon he suffered from a septic shock due to lung infection and in the evening at around 6:00 P.M. he passes away. This is very shocking news again for India as the nation is losing down so many gems one by one. No one knows when the year will end and how will we get rid of all these problems of 2020.
Pranab Mukherjee was one of the best presidents. Starting off as a protégé Indra Gandhi was the one who stood behind and during that emergency, Mukherjee came to be referred to as crisis manager. He was the one who commanded the respect of all and had friends across the aisle. Once the Congress party stalwart wore many hats over 5 decades in public life and 37 years of parliament. He was given the Bharat Ratna award last year for his excellent work and dedication in his field.
Interestingly, Pranab Mukherjee is also named as Poltu Da. This was the nickname given to Mr. Mukherjee when he came close to become the Prime Minister in 2012. In his own words, he got a sense and said that he is going to replace Manmohan Singh, who could be sent to Rashtrapati Bhawan. But his destiny was having other plans for him. Instead of becoming a Prime Minister, he was positioned at the post of President of India. Pranab Mukherjee’s political journey started in the year 1969. But with his passing away his political journeys also came to an end.
Lastly, we would like to say that may his soul rest in peace and condolence to his family. Don’t know why this year is becoming so much devastating. Firstly the whole world started suffering from the COVID virus, then the Indian nation was hit by a locust attack, death of big personalities, and many more.
