Metro, Bus Rides Going to be Free for Women Travelers in New Delhi

According to the reports of Times of India, Arvind Kejriwal (the leader of AAP) is planning to make the travel facilities good for women. He is planning to make the rides of bus and metro free for women in New Delhi. This is an opinion of AAP before the Delhi Assembly Elections. This is a good thought of AAP party. They are making everything safer for women in Delhi.

AAP party is 50% partner with the Delhi Metro services that is why they are planning to prepare free rides for women. Planning free rides for women can help out needy women to reach safe places easily. This is one of the best ideas to make Delhi a safe place in terms of women.

The transport minister of Delhi Mr. Kailash Gehlot has met the Delhi Metro services official. They have asked DMRC officials regarding these free rides for women. They also asked to submit a proposal in this regard.

The transport minister has also asked the DMRC officials to inform the state government. They said that the state government should also be informed about the repercussions about the move.

According to the reports, around 30 lakh people travel by metro. Around 42 lakh commute by bus. It has been found that people of New Delhi use buses more than metro services. The government said that the women’s face so many problems. This is the reason the AAP party decided to make the rides free for women.
