International flights are suspended till July 15th, 2020
As we all know that due to the pandemic outbreak of COVID-19 that is Coronavirus, all the activities were shut down in the month of March in India. The activities were shut down because the Prime Minister of India imposed lockdown to break the chain of this pandemic COVID outbreak. But last month onwards some of the activities started to work but from the information, it has been found that the international flights are still not working, they are suspended till July 15th, 2020.
From the updates, we got to know that DGCA told us that all the scheduled international commercial flights shall remain suspended till July 15th, 2020. Furthermore, the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that these restrictions are not going to be imposed on international all-cargo operations and flights as approved by the DGCA. However, international flights are not going to allowed to work on the selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis. March 25th, 2020 was the day when all the international commercial flights were suspended due to nationwide lockdown came into force. Therefore, no decision is made for the opening of commercial flights until now. But still, under the Vande Bharat Mission, India managed to help people to reach their destinations through international repatriation flights. Ergo, this was such a great operation that India started.
Earlier this week, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that India is receiving so many requests from Indian people living in several other countries. He further said that India was looking for so many possibilities for establishing individual bilateral bubbles Like India-US, India-France, India-Germany, India-UK, and many more. Therefore, he told the people that International travel is going to start when the domestic traffic reaches about 50-60 percent and when other countries open up to international traffic without any conditionality.
